The Gower Coast was the first area in the UK to be awarded an AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY in 1956. It has castles, surfing, wind surfing, and the walks surrounding the coastline are part of the Wales Coastal Path which starts in Chester and ends at Chepstow and is 870 miles long. The path runs across the beach at Horton and Port Eynon. You can go either east to Oxwich or west to Rhosilli from Horton. The beach at Three Cliffs has won many awards for its beauty.
